Dividend Increases -BBL,O,MSFT

Following companies in my account announced dividend increases  in last few weeks.

BBL : They increased the september payment from 1.26 to 1.56 . I have 67 shares of BBL so this will increase my dividend by  $20.

MSFT : Increased its dividend from 0.46/quarter to 0.51/quarter and this will add another $3.2 in my account.

O: The increase is small like 60 cents for my 25 shares.

Overall these increases added $23  to my account .

 

 

Frugal savings Ohmconnect review

As part of  my frugal savings ,recently i started using the ohmconnect ,some of the other Apps i use are Ibotta,receiptpal,fetch rewards. Now all of them are not the same level of  savings.  During the last few months of the summer i have been seeing high  electric usage due to AC and high fan usage. Started looking into how to reduce my electric bill or are there any options . This is where ohmconnect comes, from there website it mentions when there is high usage either we generate more electricity using not clean methods or try to  save  power by lower usage.

Ohmconnect asks us to reduce the power usage by incentivizing with points and which can be redeemed for Amazon gift card or paypal cash.Typically they ask to  you reduce power usage 1 hour a day  and this hour is called "OHMHOUR" and maybe 3 or 4 times a week. Based on how much usage you reduce you get base points and if you are on some of kind of streak  then there is another bonus and finally depending upon the your membership level you get more bonus.



Since i joined i participated in 5 Ohm Hours and currently my savings are at $9 and my recent hour needs to updated with points

100 points =1 dollar

so my last ohmhour produced me a saving of $5 for that hour.

I also got a $10 for joining using a referral  and i referred a neighbor got $20.



Things i do to save  during the ohmhour is try to switch of the non important things ,or plug off laptops,TV,charging etc.

One of the thing is its not available in all state ,only CA and TX with smart meter hookup.This way they can connect to your meter and get the readings.

I read the AMA of the founder and its interesting answers more questions how they save and make money.

 

 

 

 

2019 August Dividend Report

Here are the dividends received for the month of August in my account.15 Companies paid dividends during this month and almost $14 a day.Total dividends received this month are $429.86.



T is the biggest contributor for me this month with AAPL close second .Compared with last August this was 54% increase ,i have been adding T for last few quarters and trying to get it  200 Shares.

Due to market fluctuations  and some credit card spending to meet spending thresholds for bonus this month ,my Networth reduced by 2.25%  .

so how did everyone do this month.

 

Dividend Hikes,MO,BNS

Two of the companies in my account increased their dividend and This will add additional dollars to my account.

MO increased their dividend  from 0.80 to 0.84 cents a quarter and this will add another $5 to my account .

BNS increased their dividend from 0.664 to 0.682 and this will add another another $3.6. So with these 2 increases i will get another $9 added to annual fund. Good to get all these raises from the companies.

This is like investing another $150 or more in T Shares.

 

 

Recent Transactions

In the last  few weeks market presented quite a few chances to average down on some of the companies  in my account.

So i Bought 3 T @ 33.55  on 8/5.

8/5 Added 1 share of MMM at 167.27

8/23 Added 1 share of MMM at 156.47

These will add another $17 to my account.

Due to multiple credit card spending requirements for meeting Bonus ,i have to slow it down  on the buying till i accumulate cash in my account.These Credit card bonus have paid for my Recent Vacation in orlando . Flights were on american airlines deals,hotels were hyatt card and  Universal and legoland were Sweepstakes Wins.

In other news my current company is acquired by a much bigger Company . With this they stopped deductions from paycheck for 401k. My older company didn't have any matching programs.Newer Company has 3% matching. So hopefully will try to max out matching by the end of the year.

 

 

July 2019 Dividend Report

Summer is brutal here in texas most of the days averaging above 90F ,Month 7  in books,It seems the clock is running too fast . My oldest son just turned 8 this month . I have received dividend income from 19 different companies . Total Dividends received is $363.90 .Compared to last year this was an increase of 6%.  



Some of the 401k investing is showing up in the form of BHYIX.

My july month dividend income has shown growth over the last 5 years .



Most of the new funds are going into 401k  and trying to make extra mortgage payments. Some of the extra mortgage payments are done using plastiq.These earn me extra credit card rewards .

Dividend Hikes:

Two of the companies in my portfolio announced dividend increases.

HSY & UNP  these  increases add another $23 to my annual fund.This is almost like purchasing 11 new shares of T.

Recent Transactions

This week i made the following additions and subtractions to my account.

Buys:

7/15 1 Share of MO purchased $48.95

7/16 1 Share of WFC purchased at 45.70.

7/19 15 Shares of ABBV at $68.8 . This will bring total shares to 52 in my account . With this purchase i maxed out Roth IRA. This stock is the pick of DGI community now 1.

All these purchases will add another $69 in dividends to my account.

I will pause Buying for few weeks ,to get things in order.
